Below is the embedded slideshow.
In week 10 our task was to create a short slideshow to educate others on the importance of copyright and creative commons. There were many online tools suggested but I chose to use Animoto. Animoto is a cloud-based video creation service that produces video from photos, video clips, and music into video slideshows (Wikipedia, n.d). I used Animoto to share my understanding copyright and its importance because it allowed me to portray it in the way I thought was best possible. My video has 3 important parts of copyright and creative commons which is that everyone has the right to share ideas but if they're not your own you should give credit to the owner and if you don't know how to learn of the many ways to do so.

To obtain these photos I used Flickr: Creative Commons. Flickr has cited the images ensuring me the right to use these photos in my slideshow with the owner still getting credit. I have also cited the images in my last slide because I am practicing being a good digital citizen.
Doing this weeks task has truly taught me a lot about copyright and being responsible in this digital world. I now have the knowledge of how to cite photos in a slideshow, the right and wrong way to use a photo in my work and overall how to use a new online tool. With copyright we are using the technology we have appropriately meaning we are being good digital citizens and creating an awesome digital footprint for ourselves. I think this important for me to know now being a student because I can teach my peers and we can all grow together and be successful in the future abiding by the copyright laws.
