Hello and welcome to my post about VoiceThread!
Below is the embedded VoiceThread.
Getting this video onto my post was fairly easy. All that had to be done was a simple copy and paste of the "embed link" from the site to the HTML tab on blogger when creating a post.
VoiceThread is a tool online that lets you add pictures and videos from your mobile device and/or laptop. It's other cool features include an easy sharing option, lets you video or audio record your response to a slide, and is great for teachers or learners (a.k.a students). This online tool is similar to the previous mentioned tool Google Docs. Both tools allow its users to register for accounts and create slideshows that can be worked on simultaneously with peers from different locations.
Being introduced to VoiceThread was a great experience. I like the fact that you can respond to a slide in a powerpoint in many different ways and that is why I would put it in my PLE. I would use it to work on collaborative assignments in my classes that I would want feedback on my presentation or even just to have a discussion about a topic like we did in ADED 1P32. The VoiceThread slideshow above contained questions about Digital Rights and Responsibilities where teachers and students including the ones in my class have contributed their opinions on the topic and why they think this way. In my opinion there is no better tool to use for this activity.
